<p>You have to see this boat to believe it. The boat is 15 years old but has been in service for less than 8 years and was only lightly used during those eight years. The vessel is in better than new condition and has all new Raymarine instruments installed, including an es97 multifunction display, i50 wind display with new masthead transducer, i60 speed/depth display, p70s autopilot, AIS automatic identification system (AIS650) and HD Radome digital radar mounted on a SEAVIEW radar mast with a stainless SEAVIEW lifting Davit. A Wilson Electronics Cellular signal booster to help stay connected while on the boat. A new tank monitor system was also just installed. The factory installed 12volt refrigerator/freezer sips electricity and keeps things ice cold. Four Fresh Odyssey AGM Milspec batteries should be good for years and years to come. The gimbaled 3 burner range/stove is amazing. Last winter I installed a Wallas DT40 diesel heating system for the living space in the boat ($3,500). it has been run approx. 4-5 times and is incredible with a thermostat system at the navigation station. The Yanmar 3jh4e 40 HP diesel only has 225 hrs. on it and has been serviced excessively. I have spare belts, fuel & oil filters and impellers for the diesel. I also installed a Racor "LifeGuard" on the diesel vent line to prevent any spillage when fueling. Two oversized Manson anchors hang on the bow along with two fresh anchor chains and three strand nylon Rhodes. The ground tackle is handles by a Maxwell 1000 windless. Forespar removable dingy davits support a brand new Inmar 9FT (270) ultralight inflatable that is powered by a brand new Epropulsion Spirit 1.0 with a pair of batteries that float and are waterproof. Built-in and portable charging systems for the Epropulsion batteries are included. I have changed all exterior light bulbs and all interior light bulbs to LED and the lights now use approx. 90% less energy than they did from the factory original. An ACR Global Fix iPro 406 MHz GPS EPIRP with a new battery just installed in Dec 2023. In 2017 I was at the Richmond boat show and a new Catalina 385 (which is a lot smaller & lighter boat) equipped the way this boat is, was priced at well over $300,000. The boat is located in San Francisco Bay (south bay) and is 12 hours away from my home. I just do not use it as much as I should and have decided to sell her. We designed the Catalina 30 to be big and comfortable. She boasts a long waterline combining wide beam and plenty of ballast so she'll stand up to her sail. She is designed for comfort as well as performance. The large and efficient self-bailing cockpit reflects this concept. The Catalina 30 cabin length, height, depth and especially the width permit amazingly spacious, luxurious accommodation. There are berths for seven, including the unique large aft double berth. Forward is a comfortable double cabin, with shelves and a large overhead hatch, Just aft is a generously proportioned head area with molded in shower pan. The aft galley is easy and fun to use with a top loading ice box and large double sinks. It's out of the traffic yet open and handy. The navigation station is like those found on much larger yachts, providing storage for charts and navigation equipment. Storage space aboard the Catalina 30 is abundant and well planned. All shelves in both cabins have teak pin rails to keep things in place. Forward, opposite the head is a generous hanging locker and chest of drawers. Beneath all seats and berths are easily accessible compartments for larger gear and supplies. F or many the ownership of the Catalina 30 represents the culmination of a dream for a comfortable, able, blue water Cruising Yacht. PHRF racing as well.
